Default Turbonetics 6665 t4

Hi,

I'm new to this forum, so just a quick introduction:

I'm Jasper, 27 yo, I live in the Netherlands, near Amsterdam. And since a week I own my first s2k (finally!! ) I want to make a cool project out of this, starting with the search for power. I think the turbonetics hurricane 6665 t4 .82 a/r is a good choise, as I want to keep my insides stock. What do you think? Any help is welcome!
Sorry if my english is sometimes bad, but I'm trying.

So yeah, about my question:
Somewhere on this forum I have read a lot about turbo's from ebay... that even the better brands such as garrett and turbonetics are sometimes mixed with chinese parts for lower prices.
Offcourse I'm a bit affraid of this, so I just wanted to ask how serious this is.

I found this one:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Turbonetics-...ba2f82&vxp=mtr

It does save me about 100$

What do you guys think? Is it a stupid idea to order my turbo on ebay?

Thanks for your time.

Gr. Jasper

no real comment on turbonetics, but i would say go for a garrett or a borg warner and you shouldnt have any issues

you will be splitting hairs over $100 on a proper turbo setup. Pay money to get what you KNOW will be good. Don't risk the downtime because you wanted to save a few bucks. Especially since your out of the US and parts availablity will be tough

Turbonetics = ebay

ebay + FI + s2000 = headaches

Therefore

Ebay = headaches

OP, my first choice was the same turbo. They're decent turbos. Just make sure you don't use a log manifold and grab some ID1000s.

I was planning to buy id 1000's yes

But uhm, why are you guys not really positive about turbonetics? I thought they build some pretty nice stuff...
Better precision 6262? Garrett gt35r?

And just curious... are you saying this because you had negative experience with turbonetics? Or just because of some stories you've heard? (no disrespect)
