I am not done with my build but am already @ well over 8k


S/c may be more up your alley. This is far from a budget car.

In all seriousness I've seen someone do a kit for 3500 or something. All used components of course but then again who cares. I'll sell him my Rev-hard manifold/ downpipe and Rev-hard intercooler for cheap. That puts him some of the way there. He then just needs a really cheap and small turbo and he's on his way to a cheap build. Getting a hold of an affordable engine management solution will be one of the key factors in his overall price. Then some general charge piping "greddy" and such and he'll be getting pretty close.
