Default Turbos and emissions...

How are all you kids running around with turbos handling emissions? Are you taking the kit off once a year?

You can pass with the newer OBD style emissions testing if you only have the e-manage or are even going stock. For those with the EMS you need to pay the guy a little extra to have another S hooked up.

Sorry just to clarify that last statement for me in plain English (I'm a little old and slow ).

You are saying you gotta bribe the guy at the test station to break the law to make it appear that your car passed. Is this correct? I'm not making any JUDGEMENT, just a simple yes or no question?

I believe the reason why most racecars/showcars are on trailers is because they are not street legal (one of the many infractions is probably emissions).

^ I just researched it. You need to show your insurance card that clearly states that the car is only for going to and from a show, or that it is not intended for street use. My guess is that is you're parked outside a movie theater with that type of sticker, you're going to get a ticket, considering you're willing to change your insurance policy like that.

Ya they aren't too strict about that around here though. I know guys with rx7's around here are registered as show cars and they drive daily. I'm going to try if I run EMS IF I ever go turbo. I don't see why AEM can't make their system show something on the OBDII. Modifry where are you on this one??
