Default Twin-turbo?

Has anyone ever thought about or done a twin turbo set up on the s2k. I was thinking maybe a small turbo to get it going below 5k and the big gt35 for after 5k. Would that be a beast or just to fancy and imaginary?

I am not sure if you are aware of the available space on the engine bay.
It is very tight even for one turbo with the downpipe, etc.

With only one header, there just isn't enough room to do something like that let alone an actual point to do except "just because."

Twin turbo has already been done, but with two small turbos. IMO, it's an interesting, though impractical idea.

i would do a roots style supercharger with a gt35 before i'd do a dual turbo setup! Have a clutch style pulley on the roots and have that disengage around the time the turbo started to spool! Low-end power coupled with upper rpm efficient turbo!

Someone on here did a comptech with turbo setup, but that didn't seem to make as much sense to me

The only point of doing this is to tell your buddies "hey look what I did"

gt35r full boost in the 4k range- the SC idea will not make a diff

I think it will make a diff! i would run a M45 supercharger, which would come onto boost sooner than this graph of an M62

then run a GT35 or equivalent turbo

This will make a diff, eventhough i would never do it!

For example, the 1.4 litre volkswagen motor uses a roots style supercharger for low-end torque, and then a turbo for up end power. It makes the same power as larger motors, but gets much better gas mileage due to its smaller size! Very similar MPG to diesels yet the power of the 2.0 FSI motor! Definintely an impressive little package!
