This is essential the same idea as a larger divided turbo set-up. The pairing on this manifold is the same as a divided configuration, single turbo design. This particular set-up can support 700-750whp, and have the spool of a 35r. The boost is extremely responsive. Gt2871r's could be a drop in fitment into the existing configuration of manifold/downpipe/charge piping for 800whp potential. I have to say that I was extremely impressed how well the set-up worked. If it had 3" downpipe/exhausts it will pick up more power, and possibly spool...
this is sick guys what are you talking about with the spoolup? This hits full boost @ 5000rpm for 15psi. Lets see what this setup is capable of....

GT35R 68mm compressor 61lb/min. Capable of 600-625whp

GT28RS 60mm compressor 37lb/min x 2 = 74lb/min capable of 700-750whp.

What does that tell you? Well it spools just like a GT35R basically but has enough for 750whp. If that isnt efficient what is? Tell me that. Those are facts based off of actual garrett compressor maps.

That above statement I made earlier in this thread. I totally agree with you, this is a well setup kit and with that quick spoolup i bet it drives so well. How did it sound on spoolup?

[QUOTE=jdnissanz,Jun 25 2009, 07:02 PM] Other than being different what does this allow us to do that we couldn't do with our single set-up.

I'd prefer to see a series setup myself.

But on this setup, I'd make a heat shield to go between the compressor outlet pipe and the other turbo. You can use two of the three bolts on the compressor outlet to hold the shield.

And I'd get a custom hood made that created a good seal around the IC to promote better airflow through it.

If the volumetric efficiency is on par and the turbos get enough exhaust flow then they have the potential to do great things. However in comparison the 15psi dyno results fall short currently on what most of expect from our single turbo set-ups. Why do alsmot 99% of every Supra that is modified has gone to a single turbo and not gone with gone just twins? The compressor maps if I have them read right put the potential all things good towards a very bullseye shot with the twins. So with exhaust flow to turbine speed and the volumetric efficiency we could run some numbers and I don't think anyone would run 3 bar and run the turbos out of steam.
