Sure, but how much boost do you need?

A properly spec'd turbo can provide enough boost for 450hp easy and that is higher than your stated goal.

Ok, so that makes more sense except.....

What SC are you using? Doesn't it move out of it's efficiency curve pretty early?

I know it's sounding like I think I have the best set up since sliced bread but that was a combination of research and luck. The GT3071R is a great match to the S2000. We've discussed the bottom end, but what about the top. Can the SC out flow at 3071 at the top?

I like the idea but think a twin system using a GT25 for low and GT35 for high might be a better match although the exhaust plumbing would be fun. Maybe a bigger SC is the answer.

well the supercharger is compressing already compressed air. So you cant simply assume the s/c will run out of steam like it normally would assuming it was alone.

its ok, of course there is going to be heat on me for doing this, but i have thought very long and hard on this idea, so no hard feelings. but yes the SC can flow effienctly because it has a higher CFM. and yes the hot compressed air does not work well with the SC since the air gets up to 150-160 degrees, but i have got a water/meth kit that i am installing now that should lower it drastically and get alot more power.

I still can't wrap my mind around this so please enlighten me (not bashing at all so don't take it that way).

Your 3071 turbo (perfect turbo pretty much) spools at 3.5k rpms and can push probably 40psi if need be. Why bother with the SC for the top end why not just keep the turbo flowing?

I thought about the same idea (only with a roots SC) and even THEN its hard to see the point because even built our motor is pretty pathetic in the means of how much psi it can hold. You usually see a roots SC for low end, then a big ass GT45R+ for top end pushing 40+psi through the motor which is simple something the F20 cannot handle.

I can understand doing something to be a pioneer, but why pioneer something that isn't as efficient as what is already out on the market? Not to bash your kit or anything but a belt driven centrifugal supercharger will NEVER be as efficient as a properly sized turbocharger.

There are cheaper and better ways to getting big power. I can see it now. Some guy at a meet or show comes up and asks what you have under the hood. You reply with "a turbocharger AND a supercharger!". He is impressed and asks how much power the engine makes and what the torque curve looks like...

...and you'll be embarrased to answer.
