Default ultimate emanage on the s2k w/ vortech

I'll be s/c'd soon and was researching about vortech and the consesus seems to be that the vortech runs lean out of the box.. Im sure people have run fine with it being lean but i'm really anal about safety and i want to make sure my s/c runs safe all of the time... So now i am thinkingabout the ultimate emanage. the aem is too expensive for me, and the vafc from what i've read on s2k, doesnt have alot of room to adjust the fuel... The one thing i'm nervous about is that not alot of people have used the new ultimate e-manage being that its fairly new, and those that have sold theirs in a matter of months (like the guy who made the sticky about the U.E)

I'm not looking to make a dyno queen out of my s2k, for now i just want to make her run safely, and run like it came from the factory like that.. Thanks in advance for your opinions..

if your not looking to spend the money just call up vortech and have them send you the recalibration disks for your FMU, it will richen it up about 1 full point. But IMO AEM EMS is the only way to go...

Only problem with AEM's ems is that it disables the OBDII sensor. Not something I would like to do, being that I have emission laws here in NC. I was also wondering about the Ultimate e-Manage.

Does it allow you to change injectors? I am still running stock injectors and would like to move to slightly bigger ones.

Keeping the OBDII was the deciding factor for me. Emission laws in MO require reading OBDII.

The Ultimate eManage does much more than the older Blue model. I will be using RC 750cc injectors.

Not sure yet, but mine may get installed next week. Still waiting on delivery of the Boomslang harness.

Yes you can change injector size . You can wire it to add and subtract fuel , plus control timing .

You can also clamp the MAP and buy Greddy's pressure sensor and tune off it instead .

which boomslang harness did you go with? On their website they have different options and I don't know what they are for.

you need to get an AEM EMS to run 750cc injectors. the stock ecu wont be able work with them. pretty sure that 550cc injectors are the limit on stock ecu

Does anyone have the ultimate running with the Vortech kit?

I've tried twice and failed twice.

Haven't really seen anyone running the ultimate emanage with success on the S2000. While it may have less controls than the ultimate, the blue version does a fine job of fuel and ability to adjust timing. I've recently gotten my blue running wonderfully with my turbo. And I am on 600cc injectors. Car starts and idles perfectly. At this point I have absolutely no reason to upgrade to something else.

I am also considering the ultimate emange/vortech s/c with a different pulley and high flow injectors. Just curious Chitah831 but what wiring harness did you use?
