any one have this kit yet???

 

I pre-ordered one but still anxiously waiting . I did see Evasive Motorsports is close to completing an install of this kit on an S2000 in their shop. Hopefully they post up some pictures and dyno charts.

 

I suppose you are paying for the carb sticker as any smog guy will see that and won't be able to inspect what exact model of turbo you have nor can see cams or even judge boost level, etc

Even if the carb sticker were on the turbo housing itself which may melt off some day, turbos are machined and internals are upgraded all the time in existing housings. The biggest hurdle is the crap manifold which really restricts power, and if the carb diagram is pulled up (doubtful), the manifold would look different.

 

So I recently purchased this kit and started driving car. Kit was fairly easy to install with great instructions. Driving experience obviously it doesn't feel crazy fast but being able to punch it in 6th gear without having to downshift is a plus. Definitely chokes up on high rpm running a stock cat with a revel cat back. Can confirm boost levels are 4psi to 5psi.

 

Are there any options for new manifolds for the original kit? I had the Greddy tubular manifold finally crack on me right at the border of the weld between 2+3.

For me for how little my S2k gets driven, this kit is about perfect on paper for me. I only want around the 260-300hp range for this car and reliable. The sounds are a bonus feature.

I'd love to get some good recent sound clips, but nothing helpful on youtube, etc.

 

I just posted a thread on the newer gen 2 kit... I got the CARB version kit that comes with a flashpro and 550cc injectors. I didnt want to hijack this thread with a crazy long reply.
