upgraded differential!
Puddys stage 3 diff is first class, but I am not sold on anything other than his stage 3. I also do not believe in cryo and have posted many studies and evidence that it is nothing more than snake oil.
They are all really good options and I love puddys stage 3 but cryo is a waste.
Then again
Yes, it is WPC... If you add and compare/contrast all of the theory for these after market metal enhancing treatments this one would be the most logical.

Nothing is guaranteed to be bulletproof but as supported by many experts on S2KI, the leading cause of differential failure is due to wheel hop and then the bearing end caps giving out.

I talked to LJ and he claims that most of the Ford 8.8 rears will work and you can get those dirt cheap, I'm talking in the $100-$300 range then add your little tricks to it and still be cheaper than one of the cobra diffs
I blew my diff last week. so need an upgrade.
i am pushing around 400-450 hp. cc stage4 clutch.
cash is always a factor
inlinepro
diff kit $3,596.00

this is exactly what you will be getting plus the diff...for way less
pm me if you are interested
yes the ford 8.8 irs was in a bunch of different cars. The only thing you need from it is the casing. We use the 93+ T-bird supercoupe and the most I've paid for them was $200. You can get practically any ring and pinions for $149.

You also need a LSD right?
I'm confused by the diff/rear statements. So if you get a Ford 8.8 rear end you don't need to get a different differential? And if you get a PuddyMod stage (2) differential you don't need to get a new rear?
If so, getting Ford 8.8 Rear > Differential?

If so, getting Ford 8.8 Rear > Differential?
The FB 8.8 rear requires that you get the FB hardware kit (which includes/can include axles), and a Ford 8.8 diff. If you get the Ford 8.8 diff on the cheap, ie, from a 93+ T-bird supercoupe, you can rebuild it so that it is like new, and you would then purchase the parts (ring & pinion, LSD) to have it rebuilt/upgraded.
If you get the puddymod diff, you get a s2000 diff that is vastly stronger than the stock s2000 diff. If you want a different LSD, then you can buy one. If you want different gear ratios, you can buy them. You will also want stronger axles, BrockB is using GatorRacing axles, or there is DSS.
^That's how I think it works, someone correct me where I'm wrong.
