If you get the puddymod diff, you get a s2000 diff that is vastly stronger than the stock s2000 diff. If you want a different LSD, then you can buy one. If you want different gear ratios, you can buy them. You will also want stronger axles, BrockB is using GatorRacing axles, or there is DSS.

^That's how I think it works, someone correct me where I'm wrong.

Having spent a considerable quantity of time touring the USA to discover what the best solution is, its worth bearing in mind the following:

The Ford 8.8 solution, in the off the shelf kits sold commonly, means the diff casing physically sits significantly lower on the car. It inhibits ground clearance and is extremely likely to hit the road and any of the usual debris found on the roads by a daily driven car. The modifications required to move the unit up far enough to remove this problem have not been adopted by any of the shelf kits at present. The actual feel of the diff is also significantly different to oem (in terms of physically driving with it on the car).

The puddy solution is consistent and he has not yet anticipated failure on ANY diff he's built. Failures in cars with puddy diffs fitted have happened as a consequence of outside influences and are NOT failure of his work.

The puddy diff is a tried and tested solution. He has products fitted throughout the US, Europe, Russia and numerous other locations. Proof that his product functions perfectly, can also be drawn from its installation in numerous forum-based users, Modified Magazine's S2000 track car and Honda's own drift s2000 which is under construction. He has also built Ford 8.8 differentials and has a good knowledge of the product but will not recommend it for a conventional s. And if all of that wasn't sufficient justification for fitting what is, in my opinion, the ultimate differential to the s2000, he also provides modifications for a well-known s2000-focussed manufacturer to improve their own 'diff' solution but refuses to put his name to it as it's not what he refers to as the very finest solution.

Puddy is the man for the job, no question about it.
