Default Upgrading Comptech

I was told you can trade in your Novi 1000 for a Novi 1200 to Paxton, anyone have an estimate as to how much this costs?

I recently spoke to Paxton, they said they will give a min credit of $500 and max of $1000 on trade in. What they give you depends on condition. Until you send it to them they wont be able to tell you what your getting. Now the other thing I found is that they sell their blowers at full retail which is $500 more then say going through SOS. So pick your poison.

SOS wants like $1700 for a 1200, in addition to the $275 you will need to spend on the 1200 mount plate (that is regardless of going with paxton or SOS) Paxton wants $2200 for a 1200.

So your looking at $2000 total with SOS

Paxton $2200 with $275 for SOS mount plate. $500 credit makes it a wash or could be ahead with paxton if your lucky. Or go with SOS and try selling your blower yourself.

I said screw it and just rebuilt my 1000 and decided to over spin the shit out of it

I will say that lowering my rev limit will have something to do with less peak power, this i will be moving around a bit come dyno day so I can see how the curve looks. I will tell you though, that by my butt dyno and data logging, I'm still making good gains beyond peak blower speed. With my pulley, my peak blower speed is reached at 7900rpm now just for reference. Injector duty with my 1000cc injectors are in the 90% range. That’s with an additional 180cc per cylinder of water/meth injection. Given that, we'll see...

and you are using a 2.7" pulley right? I want to get a 3.0 pulley but don't want to over spin, also I have 750cc ID injectors will they be maxed out?

Yeah 2.7". a 3" will hit max blower speed at 8500 rpm. 750cc should be just enough for the 3" pulley by my estimation. One thing you can do if necessary, if you start to run out of duty cycle, is to up the fuel pressure with an after market fpr. That’s a pretty common thing and it works. You can effectively make your 750cc flow 850-900cc. As long as your particular brand injectors are up to the task. You only need to adjust the fuel pressure as high as you need though. Less the better.

I think to be safe I'll stick with a 3.2" pulley, how close to 400whp will a 3.2" and test pipe take me? I'm getting tuned on Haltech by Evans Tuning..
