the squirters arent normally used with aftermarket sleeves and piston/rod combos, people have been removing them out of B series blocks for a long time with no issues what so ever...... they normally are plugged

So how do you torque them properly?

Why would you eliminate something with tons of benefits and no drawbacks? Sounds like lazy machine work to me... You're already drastically cutting back the heat transfer capability of the bores by sleeving it then on top of that you're taking away a great cooling device from the pistons for no reason.

I took them out in my built B18c. They dont really serve a purpose with the forged internals, my machine shop recomended just blocking them off becasue if anything they do more harm than good on a built motor because they can draw back from oil pressure or somthing....I thrashed the hell outa that motor for a long time with no issues whatsoever. Not sure how this applys to S2000 engines though, especially with all the issues with banjo bolts apparently they make a much bigger difference in these motors so idk???

They make a big enough difference for Honda to upgrade them and the S2000 internals are already forged. They serve the exact same purpose on forged pistons as they do on cast ones. Even with the upgraded bolts installed and an oil cooler my oil pressure is steady as could be. Your machine shop most likely was either fed that BS by someone else or just didn't feel like doing the required work to install them.

Its almost more work to block them than to install them, and thats along the lines of what I heard from several engine builders and other people and every "Bseries" fully built I've seen leaves them out...so obviously a reason. Like I said I dont know how that applies to S2000 engines.

do the upgrade if you have ap1. also do the retainers. SIMPLE "upgrades" that add tons of peace of mind.

IMO it was an easy job. So the bolt is a little obscured. Meh

as far as the torque settings, there should be a write up in the under the hood FAQ
