I wouldn't worry about the manifold to much .

We have made 500+whp with a AEM EMS and 3mm head gasket @18psi on a stock block and a log manifold.

While like Tim said the manifold design will change air fuel I doubt it is your problem with Vtec.

Where are you getting the oil feed for the turbo ?

Did you put a restrictor in the oil feed line to the turbo ?

You should check your oil pressure This is most likely your problem . If you have no restrictor in the feed line it is a big oil leak , robbing pressure from the rest of the motor . Especially if you are tapped in at the Vtec solenoid and pressure switch .

I changed the manifold, but it did'nt have any result, I checked the oil pressure and I added a restrictor on the feed line and it did'nt have any result either. Now I'm wondering if the TPS might have something to do with my problem??? The only other thing is the guy who's tunning my car... So I might have to do a 6 hours drive to get it tunned by someout else...

The turbo is probably too small
Seen it before. (on a forum members car actually)

The exhaust pressure is too high and works against the overlap of the high cam.

Trust me. At least try using a bigger turbine housing. What are the specs of the turbo?

you might want to get the full specs..... very unlikely to be a AR60 and 0.63 trim

when you say that's the first thing you did, do you mean you checked the specs, or changed the housing?

Hi,

I have the same problem what you're describing, but running a Vortech Supercharger. I see a large drop in Power when I hit VTEC point and the car "hesitates" for a second or two, especially in higher gear (worst in 6th gear).

But only on WOT, if I only have half throttle it goes up without stopping. We've tried today a dyno run without the exhaust to see if it's the reason but it wasn't (unfortunately).

We're running out of ideas what the reason might be.

Do you have any new ideas or updates on your problem?

Andreas

PS: Here's my dyno from today, clearly visible is the power loss

I think he meant he has a 60 trim with an A/R (Area Radius ratio) or .63 on the exhaust side

Reddevil, have you done a log to seeif VTEC is even kicking in? Also under VTEC setup, check that the TPS is set to around 60%, load is around -2psi so on and so forth. In short make sure teh car is even kicking VTEC on.

A4XRBJ1, same thing, are you sure VTEC is engaging? If you don't have any managment otehr than what Vortech supplied, unhook the VTEC solenoid and see if there is a differance. You might have an oil block at the solenoid which isn't allowing it to engage.

There are 2 mesh screens one on the side of the solenoid and one at the top you should check and clean both. If your car is high milage you should probably order new ones before you remove the solenoid.
