Why would horse power affect the way you set the valve clearances?

You want to set them at the tightest setting under the Honda specs. This will give the most "lift" to open the valves as much as possible.

I have read the tighter the lash on the exhaust side the less flow you will have at the top end. Cant always believe what you read. Does anyone eles have any input?

More valve lift, more flow. the trick is not overdoing it. To tight and everything binds up.

Thats not true. The tighter you put the lash, the more the valves will open. Think about it......

Nothing really binds up. The valves won't seal properly and could burn.
