Default Vent Gauge

Hey everyone,

So I am in the process of piecing all of the last minute goodies for my turbo build and I have been really thinking about gauge placement. I thought I really wanted it in the audio control location but I decided against it because I really like controlling my volume from over there. Because of this I had no idea where to put the gauge, I sat in the car staring thinking about different places. I really don't want it on the pillar because I like to be somewhat sneaky but at the same time I want it easily seen. haha

So my whole purpose of this thread is to ask if anyone has made a vent gauge? I just purchased all of the materials I need to do it, I am just curious if anyone else has and if no one has, why not?haha

here is a photo of what I am speaking of in a different car

Thanks in advance!

I've never seen that before. When I first saw the picture I though it was a temperature gauge for the A/C lol. Doesn't look bad imo though.

I especially like it because it is reversible with no signs of tampering. In my case I bought a spare vent and housing from Honda so I am gonna hack that one up and see if I can make it look decent. Just waiting for it all to come in the mail.

In for results, I'm in the same boat — will likely have to sacrifice radio controls though

I had intensions of fitting mine to the slats but my diy is rubbish, so I settled for a replacement vent which I cut loads out of so the gauge was slightly recessed, far from perfect finish but it's functional and that was more important to me and not massively obvious. The white button is the control button for the gauge

Yea that was my goal pretty much too, just to make it something not blatantly obvious on the pillar, I think I accomplished it. (pictures above)

I would have liked that, saw a post about someone doing those and thought it was a pretty cool idea.

I molded mine into an extra steering cover (~$10 from honda) and like how it's not visible at all from the outside but visible when driving. Its blocks rpms from ~1-3k but realistically I never look at my tach when it's at those speeds (it blocks less while driving than the picture makes it look like due to the angle). All important warning lights are also still visible.
