Default Vibrant vs Magnaflow?

I'm running the RevHard turbo kit with a GT30R at ~11psi, and currently on the stock exhaust. Obviously though it's WAAAAY too restrictive.

I'm looking to have a custom exhaust fabbed up for me, and am trying to decide what muffler to use.

I've already decided that I'm going to have a 3" downpipe made at the same time, and have the cat "deleted". I'm going to have 3" pipe from there back as well, all the way to the muffler.

I'd like to keep it as quiet as possible without losing too much performance, so I'm thinking I'm going to use a vibrant ultra quiet resonator as well.

The only thing left in the equation is the muffler. They'd both be pretty much the same... stainless steel 3" straight through. I've read of many people using and recommending both, so I'm kind of torn. The vibrant is probably slightly more, but I kind of like the flat black look (though looks are obviously not the main agenda). Unfortunately I haven't heard any decent sound clips of either also. Again, not the most important thing, but I don't want it to sound like a fart can rice bucket etc.

So yeah, anyone have any suggestions one way or the other?

I think I used Hooker mufflers myself. Cheap/quit, free flow design.

I paid less than $200 for both shipped.

The ultimate racing exhaust uses the magnaflow mufflers. It is a straight thru design, sounds really good and not obnoxious. It really had very minimal loss when I dyno'd open DP and then with exhaust. I had a true 3" DP with true 3" catless exhaust to the dual mufflers. I liked it and am looking for another one (it didn't survive the accident).

I almost always like the sound of Vibrant mufflers. I've heard them on many different cars, and they have a pretty smooth sound for the most part.

Check out my custom exhaust in my signature. It's a custom 3 turbo back exhaust. I use 2 vibrant stright through resonators and a 3 inch straight through his carbon ti muffler.

Yeah I saw that. More worried about how the Vibrant muffler (rather than the resonator) will sound though.

I think you can't go wrong with either.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Just was wondering if anyone though one was better than the other for reasons that I didn't know.
