7psi is very safe with the comptech kit. There's a local guy here that has it. Turned up teh FPR up a bit, and his afr is like stock blower.

With these kits, out of teh box they are tuned for sotck exhaust etc... So you'll runa bit lean with bolt-on's installed. Comptech you can compesate by turning up teh fuel pressure.

Vortec.... I think you can send your black box in to get a different tune.

Of course you'll get 50hp running a bigger pulley. You didn't say anything about a pulley.
I thought I was arguing with an idiot. I was wrong. I was just arguing with a person that doesn't read. No problem. Go back, and re-read the part where I first state ~50hp. Let me know if you need help.

can the comptech be tuned with a vafc also? just turining up the FPR isnt really the best way of tuning.

You can...just beware of some minor drivability stumbles
What are the "stumbles"?

(looking at going Comptech+AC+VAFC)

Comptech's SC comes with a 6lbs pulley, I don't see the 8lb. pulley anywhere on their website. Where do you purchase it from?

Because of the lack of flexibility in tuning the VAFC, you have to tune for WOT. As such, part throttle (ie. daily drivability) suffers a bit...nothing a quick map whack won't cure. It's just frequent.
