Default Vortech

After I just installed my HKS high power exhaust and my test pipe, my supercharger (vortech) @ 2,000 rpm only sounds like rocks inside of a aluminum can.

I noticed this because when my car is cold it idles at 2k for a little bit, so I am not sure what it is. I have full boost and have never noticed this before.

I popped my hood this morning and can feel my supercharger at that certain rpm 2k rattling weird.

Input would be nice

Thanks, Jesse P

Edit at all other rpms the SC sounds completley normal

This is normal for the Comptech but I'm not sure about the Vortech.

Mine has that rattle as well. I've read that it's completely normal.

Mine also has the rattle. I have heard its just some superchargers and that is just how it is. I have a friend with a Vortech kit on his mustang and his sounds the same as what we are hearing. So I wouldnt worry about it unless you recently overtightened the belt or something like that.

I have never heard this before I installed my TP and exhaust, and when I poped my hood in the morning while my car was running, I put my hand on the blower and when it hit 2k rpm I could actually feel the noise. It is hard to explain but at 2,100 rpm or 1,800 rpm or any other range it doesn't make the noise.

So thanks for the feedback fellas, damn noises hehehe

Yeah superchargers are just noisy beasts.
I'm learning to live with the noise and vibration.

No, never like "rocks inside a can"...

There is a slight rattle at idle thogh, but not elsewhere.
