Vortech intercooler with turbo?
Okay I have a 01 gpw. and the vortech supercharger just took a shit. im kinda pissed because that ****er was $$$$. But not im gunna go turbo. ive talked to two shops about this topic.
When turbo'd can i use the vortech intercooler (air to water) with that cool the charge enough?
One shop said ya that will work better than and air to air
other shop said just run a front mount
I have both the vt intercooler and a mishimoto fmic good size.
I just dont want to have to cut anything behind the bumper and it would cool to have a turbo s2000 with out knowing it due to no fmic
Looking will this work?
Looking at doing about 12-15 psi.
Lmk on your thoughts about this

even when supercharged, the vortech/comptech aftercooler gets heat soak after a while, imagine what will happen with the turbo were the temps are really an issue.
I would def go fo a FMIC as big as it gets, unless you want to use water/meth injection with the aftercooler that you have, a bit more complicated but the end result will be better.
PS and the first shop that said that the aftercooler is better than a traditional FMIC doesnt know shit

Full Blown Motor sports
the company that makes the dual fuel pump in tank kit
well from some of the research that i have read. Doing the water to air intercooler will do a good job. I made a trip from my house to 3 hrs away and when i got the my gfs house her father wanted to see under the hood. and i could touch the intercooler and it was a bit warm. this was on 90 degree day.
Im gunna give it a world. 12-15 psi.
and it the pfab manifold were looking at three bends.
