Default Turbo with Vortech after cooler

Anyone ever think something like this would work out?

Instead of having a front mount, just have the air to water cooler.

AW aftercoolers can be used on a turbo, but they will need to be larger than the Vortech supplied unit, as well as a larger heat exchanger, and pump.

It CAN work, but the aftercooler needs to be sized properly to the turbo, as well as the heat exchanger and pump for the aftercooler system. IIRC, the PWR's are not as efficient as some others, mainly a Laminova.

The only other short term benefit to a AW aftercooler is the ability to briefy cool the intake charge to below ambient temp by using iced water in the system. After the ice melts the fun is over though.

Just curious, but why would you want to use this instead of a FMIC? Just seems like you are re-inventing the wheel.

Laminova's are very efficient, and worth investigating. Or you could use a V-mounted air to air intercooler.

Just hard anodize the intercooler black. Hence if stealthy is what you want. Worked on my car perfectly.
