I'm looking for the vortech timing control unit (vortech black box). Has any vortech owners upgraded to EMS that has the black box laying aound? Looking for AP1 2.0.

I thought you were going EMS?

You should be able to purchase the black box directly from Split Second. They make great products (I have one of their boxes on my Monte for fuel and ignition tuning), but they definitely aren't user friendly. It's a set it once and forget it type of box.

I was going to go emanage because i am low on cash... so that definately means no for the EMS... but emanage is a POS also... so tobi told me to track down a black box...

i read on a post on here that vortech wants like $900 for it... i call BS...

jon's getting EMS and he said he would sell me his, but we don't know how much they cost... i'm sure it's not $900...

 

You can buy a box that does fuel and timing from Split Second for about $550. My guess is that the Vortech box only costs them about $300.

Vortech/Split Second want 1000$ for the black box. I'll be selling my black box in a couple of months.
