I am planning to up the boost on my Vortech by going to a smaller pulley, either 4.0" or 3.9". Unfortunately I have been out of the game for a while and it seems the vendors that used to supply these sizes no longer are. The only sizes available on the Vortech site are 4.5" and 3.8" Can anyone point me in the direction of a vendor that supplies the offset 6 rib Vortech pulley in either 4.0" or 3.9"

Also, rather than removing the entire blower mounting bracket to replace the pulley, would there be enough clearance to do so by removing the valve cover? I will most likely be removing it anyway to do a valve adjustment.

ASP in Texas will make whatever size you want.

 

Go with a 3.8" or smaller! I'm running a 3.6" right now on my ap1. I got it from asp.

 

I thought a 3.9" would keep me just under the blower limit of 50,000 RPM. Anything smaller would exceed 50K. What mods have you done to support such a high blower speed? Also, what boost levels are you seeing with a 3.6" pulley?

 

No mods to the blower for those speeds. They love to be overspun. 3.6" just overspins it at redline I believe. I'm making 14.5 psi at 9k rpm's.
