Me and my buddy just got done installing my vortech SC yesterday and everything went well, we got the dreadful CEL at first but it was due to reversed vacum lines.

But we fixed that and everthing was fine. Cept for the water pump relay dying but that can be fixed easily.We went for a 50 mile drive and no CEL at all! woot woot!

Now this morning when i started the car i get the dreadful CEL again... I'm thinking it might be the blackbox from vortech but i will get some codes today to see whats going on. (loose connection maybe?)

Also my friend said he see a light trail of black smoke from my exhaust sometimes at WOT (running rich?)

Mods are Vortech SC and J's 70rr exhaust

buddy ran a code at honda... and it turns out i'm running rich... kinda weird thought vortech was suppose to run lean...

only mod besides SC is J's 70rr with antifouler trick to clear the CEL b/c of no resonator.

could it be that my blue wire is on the 32P is losse?

 

Also, when i opened the hood i hear a constant whistle... but its not comming from the BOV. Its comming from the unit where you plug a connector so the computer reads vacumm pressure. If i cover up those four little black holes on top there is no more vacumm sound.

I'll take a pic with my camera phone to clarify it tommorow.

I'm gonna have one of my buddy solder all my connection from the vortech ESM to the ECU now instead of just leaving it crimped.
