Vortech SC'd S2000
Hi, i'm running everything stock at the moment, with a Exedy Hyper Single clutch.
The car feels full of power when cold and warm,
but once its properly heated up, it feels very powerless in low revs.
Its ok after around 3000rpm,
but just when i'm taking off in 1st, it doesn't really want to go.
I checked my aftercooler and there's water in there. although warm.
and everything seems to be fine.
I've recently changed over to BKR7E which came pregapped at 0.034"
Am i using the wrong spark plug ?
What may be the reason for power loss in low revs????

To me, it sounds like the ecu is pulling tons of timing when you're warmed up. Can you try a different plug?

I havent checked the belt since I've installed the kit.
Maybe it might not be tight enough??
I haven;t got a boost gauge to check the boost either...

Helpful hint. Don't believe "pre-gapped." Always gap your plugs to confirm the original setting and modify if needed.

Bingo. The belt stretches at first and needs to be tightened after 100 miles or so. Tighten the belt and let us know if this helps.

If this was a gear problem would you insist on fixing the flat tire first?
If you run the pump it takes power down low and with the belt loose it doesn't add any power back.
Fix this then see if there is still a problem.....heat soak, plugs or whatever.
