Default Vortech SCer

I know this isn't exactly F/I, but I know that the supercharger guys can help me with this one.

I have a Vortech stock kit with a 100% OEM exhaust. I'm installing a AFR gauge and the shop called asking me some questions.

Is the header double walled?
If so, when they weld the part to the inner wall, will the sensor still be in far enough for an accurate reading?
Where do you have your sensor installed?

Shop says the best part to do it in is a 2-3 inch spot where the header goes from 2 -> 1. Is that where everyone has it?

Thanks!

I don't have a test pipe though which means it has to go before the cat somewhere. I'm kindda shocked more people havent given responses. Maybe its too stupid of a question to bother answering?

Nope. No one seems to know or no one wants to say.

Mike, are you looking to have the gauge permanent or are you just using the gauge to check your AFR?

alright guys, you should put it right before the 1st o2 sensor in the header, this way you will get the most accurrate reading. if you put one in the test pipe it is not going to be near as accurate as the one in the header. hope this answer your questions

Why does it make such a difference?

Hey guys, keep in mind he's running 100% stock exhaust. I guess you are wanting to drill a hole in the header to accomodate the AFR sensor?
