Default Vortech supercharger ?

i am plannig on ordering my supercharger kit from vortec and i have a couple of questions. 1) is the fmu that comes with the kit any good or should i go for aem ems. 2) i think my car is ready for the supercharger but im not sure. i have competition stage 2 clutch and light flywheel. and i have a ap2 tranny 4.56 gears in the rear with a comptech reinforced ap2 housing. do i need to worry about anything else drive train wise and how often do i need to change the superchargers oil? all your answers are much appreciated cause the last thing i want is for my car to be unreliable thanx -tom

vortech says change oil every 3k miles.

you should be fine on the stock kit, but anything can break if you beat it by launching all day.

my oem clutch needs to be replaced with a better one such as yours.

looks like you are good to go. the fmu is fine if you are going to keep it at 7psi.

aem ems is always good to have though

I just had my vortech kit installed and i love it. I have not had any problems at all except finding other cars to race. It seems that when i didnt have the blower on, everyone wanted to race. Now i have the kit on and i cant get anyone to take the challenge. I have the stock clutch on and have had no problems yet. I am going to upgrade to a new flywheel and clutch when mine go out though. You will love the kit and like they said before, the FMU works fine as long as you dont up the boost or change the exhaust and the header. I have a JIC exhaust and the stock header and its fine but if i add the header it will make me run leaner so i am waiting until i get the AEM EMS.
