Default Vortech V2 2.87" Pulley

Whats going on guys, I recently Purchased a new F22c short block from my local honda dealer since my original f20c spun a main bearing causing me to lose oil pressrue. I have searched religiously on S2ki and other forums only to come up empty handed. My question is how much PSI should a 2.87" pulley net . I ordered the pulley from ASP then I had it coated with surgrip to reduce belt slip. I also uprgaded the blowers bearings to the 62,000rpm ceremic bearings since I had the whole kit powdered coated texture black. I plan on taking the new motor to 8400-8600rpm with the stock 6" crank pulley.

heres the new block sitting in my living room lol

I'm not sure I have seen anyone run that small a pulley. Is the blower efficient that high?

The v2 it's not effecient for that size of pulley u might want to upgrade the internal to si for more Psi of boost
Or might aswell get a t trim blower that will fit directly to the bracket.

Max speed on the stock bearings is 52,000rpm I have 62,000rpm abec 7 ceramic bearings and vortech lists 22psi as being the max amount of boost for the vortech v2 . I made 400whp with the 3.8" pulley I'm trying to get as close to 500hp as I can without upgrading the trim .

According to my calculations (for a Novi 1200) you would yield 24.6 PSI @ 8500 RPM.

Edit: Blower RPM would be 64148.83 RPM at 8500 engine RPM

Wow I didn't think it would be that high . I know you run an aggressive setup 99sh, do you mind sharing what size pulleys and supporting mods you have ?

I'm running a 8" crank and 4.0" blower pulley. All in 10-rib, because you will slip with 6-ribs and it's no fun!

Your setup is a little more custom then what my wallet will allow right now lol . I'm a little worried about belt slip but correct me if I'm wrong, doesn't the vortech kit use one more idler pulley then the SOS kit? . I'm really hoping I am one of the chosen ones and won't experience belt slip .

Believe you're right, Vortech has 2 idlers from what I recall. I was slipping with a 2.8" pulley using 2 idlers and using a blower pulley with BOTH anti-slip coating and notched grooves. Hope your results are more favorable!
