Default Vortic Supercharger

Hi All,
So I'm thinking about installing a supercharger on my 2000 S2K. I have read and read and read many post regarding this topic, but most seem to be from many years ago, how about an update 2015 is right around the corner..

So my main concern is SMOG, given that I live in Orange County CA. I don't like the idea of installing an EMS, such as AEM EMS, because I don't want to go through the headache when smog comes around. Do I need to have an EMS when my Vortic Supercharger is installed? The only way I would have an EMS is if I can swap it out with the stock ECU when smog comes around, or is there something else I can do when smog is needed? I understand that an EMS is important for tuning, but is there one that can save my butt during smog or swapping the EMS with the stick ECU?

I was going to go all NA bolts ons: intake, header, exhaust, etc, but that would not have given me much HP.
I'm not trying to be all track racer, but I do want some good increase in HP as my s2k is a daily driver, so I felt that a super charger would do the job. I'd be happy with the standard 6.5 psi if that is going to keep me smog legal, like I mentioned earlier I just want to have an increase and at the same time be smog legal. I know Vortic is Smog legal in Cali, also Greddy and there is one other supercharger that is smog legal I just can't remeber the name.
Lastly, are there other additions or modifications to the engine when. Stalling a supercharger?
Please advice and lead me in the right direction. Being in Cali and wantng to upgrade to a supercharger is very frustrating and at times hopeless simOu because of smog.
I don't think I'm the only one going through this dilemma a of smog and supercharger, So if there is anyone out there in the S2k community that can give me and others like me advise, words of wisdom, and knowledge I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank You All,

I recommend going to the Forced Induction section and searching their threads. There is quite a bit of info there, and I'd be surprised if you couldn't find what you needed.

You would get a whole lot more info if you post this on the forced induction forum..
