Wow! You guys should be lowering your VTEC to get more torque and a better powerband. Mine is somewhere around 3500 rpm.

That is my understanding. I've got mine at 3800 rpm now. 3800 rpm to 9800 rpm give a Vtec range of 6000 rpm.

its all in the design of the manifold that dictates VTEC crossover. I think it comes down to efficiency. Log manifolds seem to want a higher vtec crossover point compared to a tubular manifold. My UR manifold like a 6K rpm crossover point, compared to my 3.9K crossover point on my supercharger setup. getting your car on the dyno will dictate what point gives the smoothest transition.
