Seriously 2nd poster, dont post stuff like that if you dont know what you are talking about.
You should learn a little tact. I didn't say he would blow his motor. If you are trying to tune for hp than your butt dyno is useless especially with vtec crossover.

Mine is set at 6000 to 6300, you want it is low as you can get it without having a huge dip. I guess thats why you need the dyno to figure out where your dip is and adjust it.

I would find out what rpm you are at doing 80mph in 6th and set it a few hundred rpm higher. For more than one reason lower is better. But I doubt you will want it when cruising.

It doesn't engage while cruising. Your throttle position is used to determine whether to engage vtec or not.

^ not necessarily you can turn off all parameters except rpm if you want. I had to check the solenoid and set it to engage at3500 in the grage under no load and no speed. I don't recommend it but it is possible with the AEM

At the dyno, look at the curve of HP. As it starts to actually get a negative slope on it ( decrease, drop down), you'll be losing HP. Then, when VTEC engages, you'll see it go up again. You need to drop VTEC down at that point to make sure the slope of the graph doesn't go down.

If you have a tuner experinced in AEM and the s2000 then you shouldn't have to say anything at all.

Just ignore the belt slip above 8000 rpm and tell me where you think the Vtec point is on this dyno plot:
