Default walbro 400lph, not plug and play

found out the hard way

stock fuel hangar

modified hangar with walbro 400

took about 5 minutes with a real dremel (harborfreight drillmaster does not equal a real dremel)

I took off more than was necessary. You can most likely get off with taking it off right above where the white thing hooks on to it while it is stock.

You have to depin the plug that carries the wires that plug into the fuel pump itself, and it doesnt fit all the way into the hard plastic sleeve/casing, so it sits about a 1/4" lower.

You should get a longer rubbed tube, too, as the stock size one is no longer long enough. Also, the little plastic basket doesn't fit on the bottom, so the only thing holding the fuel pump is the hose clamps on the rubber hose.

Since the fuel pump is now lower, the pickup is now lower, and the sensor arm doesnt have the same range of motion.

Sorry to hear that.......as they say "It's Always Something"

BTW: Do you really need the 400-lph? what made you decide to go that route?

I'm running the FullBlown 340 at a static fuel pressure of 60-psi with 25lbs of boost at the top at the FullBlown still has headroom....the Injectors are the limiting factor in my set-up.

Also I think (not sure)....but I beleive that you can use the 340's in a dual hangar set-up if you needed to.

Anyway just curious....

Damn that sucks. I was upset that I bought my 340 lph right before these came out. After hearing that I think I'll go with a dual pump setup if I run out of fuel.

damn.. guess ill go with a 340lph then. The re-wiring doesn't matter, but I don't like the idea of it just hanging by the hose.

I was going with e85 and id2000s, and this pump. I dont want to have dual pumps.

I have a picture of how it looks that I will post when I get to a computer.

I think you may be able to modify that housing. I will probably look up how much one is from honda/one of the guys who parts cars.

DFWs2k, how much power are you looking to make on e85? I'm running the FB340 with ID2000s on e85 making 620+whp on a mustang dyno. It made 621@22psi. I run almost 24psi on the street though. My duty cycle on the injectors is in the low 70% range, like 70-73% on my last log. I do have a boost-a-pump, but a simple rewire should yeild similar results. I would say there is another 4-5psi before I completely run out of fuel, should be over 700whp on a SINGLE pump!
