Default Wastegate porting, no tap on turbo question

I have two questions and one has some sub questions.

1) If my turbo does not have a tap on it to run the side port of the wg to it where do I run it? I read somewhere that they say it needs to connect somewhere before the throttle body. Is this true? WHere should I run it then? Just any vacuum line? O_o Or is there a specific line to run it to?

2)Does the wastegate need a gasket? I have a metal gasket for the turbo but not the wastegate, is it really necessary?

The turbo is a garrett t3/60-1 and the wg is a Tial 38mm

Thanks guys..

1. Vacuum line is fine, in fact a lot of people say its more accurate then a boost only line

2. Not necessary

i would drill the housing and tap it for a 1/8" fitting not hard to do. i never use a gasket on my waste gate cause they like to burn out and the gate will come lose. they never leak on me.
