Precision turbo upgrade

Default Precision turbo upgrade

Hey guys, right now Im running a 5857 turbo w/ billet comp. wheel, .70 a/r Journal bearing turbo on a log manifold. It turns out I can get a good deal on the same size turbo 5857 but its a dual ball bearing. My question is should I upgrade to the ball bearing turbo? How much earlier would I see boost? Overall, is it a worthwhile upgrade for me to go from what I have to the ball bearing. Any input appreciated.

Upgrade manifold, that's costing you more power than your turbo at this point.

Yeah I understand that. I just went with the full blown stage 1 kit w/ log manifold for right now. Only reason I'm thinking about going with this turbo is because I can get it for a good price. Eventually I will upgrade the manifold. Should I go with this turbo or just keep what I have?

i would just keep what u have, if ur gonna do a turbo upgrade go to something bigger, and i agree with siadam on the manifold

Not worth it. Stick with the turbo you got.

Thanks for the comments guys, I'll stick with what I have for now. Down the road I'll change the manifold and throw a bigger turbo on there.
