Default water injection before supercharger

So I live in a hot climate, wondering if anyone has tried using water injection before and after supercharger to cool air down?

better to use a 5-15 hp shot of nitrous than water meth you want a gas not liquid as it will damage impeller blades

It would cool best if the water completely evaporated beforehand. just wondering if anyone has heard of this

i will be experimenting with high efficiency air to air with a novi 1000 if i can keep boost loss to 1.5-2 psi it should offset the high iat's i get with air to water when its 105 degrees outside as it is right now and nitrous fumigation into the air box to increase efficiency of the blower which will increase boost and give a 50 hp bump in power though none of this will happen til winter. for me i would give up 15 hp for consistent iat on track. for instance i make 360-380 12-14psi weather dependent and in this heat as low as 340 at 12 psi due to hot air so this is my reason for doing some changes if it works on the old blower a 1200 would be badass

that's on roots style not centrifugal they are more sensitive. of coarse a roots will take it i have a nova with a 383 stroker motor with a weind 177 ci blower and a holley carb feeding it you don't want water going through a turbo for the same reason impeller erosion i have seen it on a high mileage turbo that was eating dirty air and oil. just my 2 cents

Dirty air =/= atomized water.

I ran my Vortech supercharged SHO on water injection as the only charge cooling for about 8 years before I sold it. With the current owner, it's sitting at 10+ years. It's had water injected in several locations and it never had an issue using it pre-compressor.

Everyone is going to tell you different results. If it were me, I would only use it post SC and intercooler. I have not seen all of the systems in action, but I have seen a nozzle on an Aquamist system and worrying about it being completely evaporated is not an issue. It is an incredibly fine mist.

I know some people will say no issues, but if there is a chance at corroding the SC or condensation pooling in your intercooler, I would pass on the before route.

I am not sure, but I thought I read a post a while back about water injection steaming off some protective coating of the impeller blades on a MP62 roots blower.

Do you think that rigging up a CAI would help with your air temps instead of the under the hood air intake?
