My evo 8 with 400/320 mustang dyno trapped 127. We just have better gearing for the track. But we have crap gearing for the street.

And by crap gearing, I trap 100 in the 1/8 and pick up 40mph in 4th gear lol.

 

Agreed d-bo. What o really need is a ford 8.8 and t56 tranny. Then I wont be scared to drive it hard.

 

Im actually looking forward to seeing you run against the evo. It will be interesting. Any idea when?

 

No idea when. Sometime this summer.

 

Ran the evo tonight. But he was having some car issues. He said his car keeps cutting out.


Tried 2 times. 50mph roll. Started in 3rd gear, brake boosted and spinned a little. Both times he was having problems.

 

well thats what evo owners always say when they lose... . so how much did you win by?

 

Plus one for anyone commenting on the slow 60ft times, thats where you are being hurt, you should easily be able to get that below 2 seconds. Anyone saying dont launch your car, dont listen to them, its just about modulating the launch, which takes lots of practice (and maybe a new clutch sooner than later).

 

Won by like 10 cars. Haha. Right when we started he was next to me but then just disappears. But im sure he was having some issues. Haha.

Yeah. The next Time I go ill have a trailer, so I wont be as scared to break something.
