Default What clutches do you guys recommend?

We'll i'm looking into a turbo set up right now * leaning toward a lovefab kit*. I was planning to set this car up for ocassion road racing event also. I was wondering if you guys can give me some input on what clutches to get. I also prefer a whole complete clutch kit. Complete I mean with preasure plate, clutch, flywheel, type of deal.

Thanx

Good feedbacks guys. Has anyone experience with exedy clutches? I was looking into the single hyper clutch. It has a light weight flywheel and comes with preasure plate and what not. I just trying to figure out how many lbs is the clutch good for.

It would really depend what kinda power you want to run.

A few like the Exedy, but on the most part, they are not well liked. They are not good for street use as they are an ON/OFF type of clutch - hard to modulate.

Hardtopguy has what I consider the perfect all round clutch package, even for F.I.
- Comptech lightweight flywheel, TO bearing, OEM disc, ACT HD PP.

I am actually looking for a push type clutch. One of my buddies have a ORC clutch, and my god it feel so great. The price tag on those clutches are like 1500-1800 dollar. I also notice that Toda has a clutch kit.

i was looking at these: clutch . when they say 250% over stock torque, is that 153x2.5=382TQ? do they measure the torque, not the HP?

thanks

If all you want is 350-400 horsepower then run with a ACT or equivalent. If you are going for broke at 600+ then the Exedy twin carbon will be well worth the money. In the long run the engagement of the twin disc will minimize some of the abuse the rest of the drivtrain will see. Well worth the money in my book. Somewhere around the 3500 range.
