S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

What exhaust setup are you running?

Is that so? Lots of F20C motors running turbo revving upto 10.5-11k...interesting.

You act like that's such a far stretch?? The motor has been built to handle it, so why must you insist on saying it doesn't happen and it won't happen? I know what the motor was built for and i'm gonna push it.

Here's the stats on the motor:

Let me show who's really ignorant first:
My head (too lazy to upload pics of my dual valve spring setup with my Ti retainers)

My car and turbo setup

Now I never said it's never possible, I asked why. Which is a very valid question if I do say so myself. You might have never asked for my opinion on it and I never really gave it to you. Then you went ahead and said there's plenty of s2k's that are turbo'ed with a 10.5-11k rev limit. Which I know is a load of crud. Why chance gernading the motor even more for absolutely no reason? Nothing kills a motor faster than RPM's.

I know what exhaust to go with so +1 for me for not being as ignorant

Actually he never said "plenty of s2k's"...he said "There's a lot of guys running 10.5-11k motors that are pushing big power"

I know you are a good guy Kane, and you "have been there and done that", but that's not a reason to blast someone for trying something new. Or for calling him ignorant for that matter.

Can't we all just play nice

There aren't a lot of guys running a 10.5-11k rev limit pushing big power. Plenty = a lot. I consider 2-3 to be a lot for this scenario. Maybe he ment their motors can handle 10.5-11k. Heck, mine is suppose to too. Doesn't mean any of these actually do get up there. That's just mis-information that shouldn't be spread around because more people will end up believing it and thinking it's safe to do.

He called me ignorant first heh

Good luck btw. You'd be the first turbo'ed s2k that's been heard of reving to 11k.

Nothing kills a well running new motor faster than RPM's.

Look I wasn't calling you ignorant ... like he said, I know you're well respected here on the site and i'm not gonna bash what you have to say, but I said you had an ignorant statement ... the fact that you don't know how many people I know running the same setup and having the rev limiter set at 10.5 is an ignorant statement. I'm not doubting what you know about the car, b/c it's surely more then me, i'm still learning....I just know what i've seen and I paid a lot of money for the setup I have now and i'd like to push the limits a little. Anyway sorry for the confussion ... i'm just looking for advice on exhaust right now. Thanks

keep your rev at 9k rpm when your car is completed

do a little bit more research

drive your car like it should be driven

you will know then if you want to or NEED to raise the rev or what Kane it talking about

mine f20c is capable of 12+ krpm and 55psi too....does that means I will do that? The torque at 12krpm will be the same as at 9krpm. Why do you need to raise the rpm limit?

You do what ever you want mate, it's your engine....don't let us confuse you....just let us know how long the engine last and how much torque you have. Ask yourself how many engines Topfuel bring to and use at a drag meeting and many can you afford per year.
