Yea Xviper was teh one that told me to go vortec because it runs higher boost, so the pressure drop is less noticable....

I don't recall actually telling you to go Vortech. I believe I merely stated the differences and the characteristics of each and I wasn't the one who told you that you "needed" an AEM EMS. I think I told you that you needed to crank up the pressure on the FMU till the a/f was safe, if you were going to compensate for the boost loss after adding an aftercooler by putting on a smaller pulley.
The Vortech comes only with an aftercooler, so there is no "less" pressure drop because nothing gets added or changed. It is the Comptech that has a pressure drop when you add the aftercooler.

Also, that 230 whp supercharged S2000 was an unsubstantiated "hearsay" story posted by an unknown on the Beyond forum, which is well known for S2000 bashers and people who have absolutely NO CLUE about anything to do with S2000s. That poster did not state what kind of supercharger was installed, if it was even a Comptech or a Vortech. For all we know, it was a Chevy S10, with a Turbonator and leaf blower on it. Posts on that forum when it comes to the S2000 CANNOT be believed.

Now to address your original question:
Ap1 comptech SC w/AC stock pulley and aftermarket exhaust?

What kind of number do they dyno?

300whp? 190 wtq?
I know this from first hand experience witnessing an AP1 that added an aftercooler and smaller pulley that was done and dynoed at the Comptech factory.
First, if it's the "stock" pulley, you will be pushing about 6 psi (maybe slightly less) with the A/C. This will dyno you (especially at Calgary's altitude) around 270 whp. If you put on the higher boost pulley, tune the FMU while on the dyno, you will get back that pound or so of boost and you will see about 290 whp. Of course, depending upon the condition of your car, you may see less or more.
A stock Vortech has shown to push between 7 and 7.5 psi right out of the box.
The black Comptech car that used to belong to the guy at Tunerworks was not aftercooled to begin with. At that time, it raced the previous gen of Benz SLK AMG and beat it without breaking a sweat. I believe the AMG belonged to the owner of the Beyond site and perhaps that's why he trashes S2000s on his site and the rest of the "kids" follow like sheep.

Ok ok. Good to know. I think my final decision will be based on price. Both kits seems great. However I think I'll want the more boost of the vortec. I wanna aim around 300whp.

A few "Prairie Redliners" will be at the S2000 West Coast meet in Seattle this weekend, so didn't really pay much attention to whatever this local Sunday meet is about.

Good luck. I'm afraid you're on your own. You can shoot me a PM next week if you have anything weird happen.

Is this kit used? You do have the Comptech install manual, right?
http://www.comptechusa.com/store/media/ins...S2K_SC_2005.pdf
Print this off and have it on hand.
