S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

At what point do you need a FMIC?

Well of course it does SOMETHING, a 3k ASM intake does something. Thats not the point I'm getting at.

All things considered (price, efficency, power), the aftercooler is still the winner.

The FMIC might lower intake temps more but at the expense of that horrible U-joint and a lower boost pressure. In other words, your still making less power then an AC setup despite having lower intake temps.
I agree...reminds me of the countless CAIs for the 350z. They all range in price from 300-500 yet the $100 JWT Popcharger (Short Ram) makes the most power.

If your goal is most HP on the dyno then sure an aftercooler may be the winner, but if you are looking for something to keep your car running cooler on the track, like I am, then intercooler looks like it will perform better. I personally don't care as much about max HP as I do about keeping the car running more reliably on the track. So in my opinion each has its place.

Its generally the same thing with a short ram, they will make more power on a dyno run or two but on the street they heat soak like crazy.

True and good point

However, I think there are more track proven AC's then there are FMICs for SCs. Granted I can't see a FMIC "failing" at a track but hopefully you get my point
