Do y'all think a 265/45-16 would be too wide for the AP1 wheels? Or should I just stick with the 255/50-16??

Just stick with proven results. I can hook 700whp+ from 60-160 on MT 255/50/16 with no problems. Heck even kings performance used the same setup to run 9's on their car.

Thanks man!! That is what I needed to know. I have really just been worried that a 255 wouldn't hook.

Edit: Is it ok if I use my 225/50-16 that I have on the rear now in the front??

Anyone using Toyo Proxes R888?? They look really nice and seem like they would grip well.

I am in the same situation like you looking for tires. I have Toyo Proxes R888 now, they grip excellent especially when they are worm but they are very expensive (at least in Greece) and they do not last long at all Check also the Yokohamas A048

I have NT01's and I love them, much better than the Star Specs and better traction in a variety of temperature ranges compared to my BFG drag radials. I also find they are holding up pretty well for treadwear. Not as good as my Mickey Thompson's but are as close as you get while maintaining some treadwear and cornering stability.

im guessing with that size turbo it spools slower/more linear. id be surprised if they held that kinda power on a gt30 sized turbo. they dont spin on second and third gear pulls? or you using boost by speed?
