Default Whats your thoughts on upgrading the greddy kit

I know of one guy on here with the pfab manifold on his greddy kit and i'm about to place my order for one too. Looks like it will flow alot better than the cast one and doesn't cost alot of money. Its $400 or $425 with an external wastegate flange.

If this one will flow considerably better than maybe there is a little more power left to be made with the t518z, if not a gt3071-wg bolts up and should be close to 400 with a good tune.

lets converse....

I had debated it at one point, but wasn't really too convinced that it would make THAT much of a difference. Your best bet is to get a full 3" exhaust (downpipe, cat, catback) and then try and port the wastegate on the T518z or just get the GT3071R.

Pang will also make you a 3" downpipe if you want, catted and non-catted. I would try and go that route. More free-flowing exhaust gases = higher horsepower.

the greddy manifold is designed in such a way that it has a bit of a collector on it and the cylinders don't fire directly at each other, in theory making it better than a standard log manifold.

This pfab manifold looks to have taken a step backwards and now has cylinders 1 and 4 firing directly at each other. I would almost expect this manifold to perform worse.

I wasn't aware there was a flow issue with the greddy manifold, if anything I would think it was the tiny turbo.

This is a great option! A gt 3071 gt3076 or a precision 5758 or turbo around that size would be good. You could also do this with a inline pro manifold as Rangos2k did. Just remember the rest of the kit does have its limits. Pipes are not so big and the intercooler is not so large. So just have resonable expectations. This should be good for a high 300hp kit with the change.

I would opt for an external WG and a T3 flange

No link on the website. It's just something you can request he make. He's very responsive and answers pretty much all your questions quickly and is very honest and to the point.

to Pang. If he made a CARB legal kit I would have been all over it.

I'm scheduled march 22. I hope there are gains to be made with this manifold. I needed a retune anyways since I had some issues with my exhaust leak and I just bought a bigger exhaust
