Default Where to buy an appropriate intercooler

I'm currently running an ultimate racing fmic. I'll probably need a more efficient one since I'll be pushing 450whp+. I don't think this one can support it.

When upgrading the intercooler, can I keep my current 2.5" Stainless Steel Intercooler Piping even though my new one may be 3"? [meaning, can I keep the 2.5" piping and purchase an intercooler with a 3" inlet?]

My gutfeel says that 2,5" piping should work nicely. I have seen no problems with 2,5" and 3" IC for 420whp at least. (I have been very careful to make the piping very clean on the inside tho.)

If I were in your shoes, I would try it before fabricating 3" piping.

you will be fine with 3" inlet/outlet on the intercooler. The precision 600hp intercooler fits nicely on the s2000 and will suit your power needs. You will just need to buy couplers that go from 2.5-3.0".

www.extremepsi.com has good couplers for pretty cheap and they ship fast.

siliconeintakes.com I ordered a few couplers from then.. good quality and can't beat the price... $27.97 shipped for the 2 couplers that you would need... they have intercoolers on there too but not sure how good they are.

We built a turbo BMW and he had an intercooler with 2.5" inlet and out let and we made 630whp. And a Sport Front Wheel Drive civic with 2.5" intercooler pipes and we made 705whp. Not to say that 3inch wouldn't be a little better but it is totally possible.

We can make you an intercooler to fit you existing set up that will perform better. Just need some measurements.

you need 2.75" - 3" if your going to use 3" piping with the precision 600 cooler.

That's correct, but I'm keeping my current 2.5" piping, and the new fmic will have an 2.75" inlet.

I'll need a 2.5" to 2.75" silicone piece.
