Why is boost sooo addicting
Ok so i have a question for all the people out there running at 10psi
I recently just had my ct s/c installed it runs about 5 psi with what came with it.
I really would love to make more power so I've decided that I want to up the boost.
I spoke to a few extremely knowledgeable people and they both stated you can run 8-10 psi and you'll be fine.
I drive my car like a nut 70% of the time cause for some odd reason when im in it i have zero discipline as soon as i hit the highway im almost always above 80 mph.
Id really love to run 10psi but the car is my daily driver and i dont know if this would be an overkill move. I drive the car everyday besides winter it gets garaged in the winter.
So with how much i drive it and the way i drive before i choose witch pulley i buy i just wanted to get a few opinion's from people that might be or have been in the same situation. I want my car to last and from what people have told me if you want to see 100k miles on your engine then you should really stick with 8 psi not 10.
My setup will be
these are the parts i purchased already or have installed:
Invidia test pipe, single exhuast all 70mm
upgraded sos Front mount heat exchanger
ACT clutch and pressure plate
brand new ct engineering s/c 1220 sl blower
invidia header
aem ems version 2
1000cc injectors
and if i run 10psi , hondata 3 bar map sensor the map sensor is just incase
This is the only part i havent purchased yet due to not knowing what psi i want to run
sos pulley w/ shorter belt (8-10psi)
as of right now i have 26k on my 2003 s and all the parts I buy for it are brand new if that helps any of the feedback
pre- thanks for all the responses
(im a noob btw so if i said anything stupid dont flame me)

What is your question exactly??
If you're looking to get feed back on what people think how long your car will last by running 10 psi instead of 8, I think no one will truly know because ultimately majority of how long an engine will last is depended on the driver. How the car is driven, and how well your car is maintained.
If you keep a your motor oil fresh, and spark plugs in check, and not beat on your car every chance you get, I think you would have no problem keeping things running for along time.

maintenance inst an issue im always on top of keeping my car well maintained.
The question was from other people's experience in the past running 10psi or higher on a stock motor did they run into alot of problems? Aswell as asking people how long they have been running 10psi.

Thats funny it is never enough, I would think about 12-14 if you are going to do it.
How many headers are you installing
JK
You have a good plan laid out, you could argue a few points but you should be good to go.

sry i fixed my list i actually just had my clutch and pressure plate installed when I got the s/c installed had my flywheel resurfaced and a new oem throughout bearing as well just forgot to list it. But i readjusted the list the only thing i have left to buy is the actual pulley and belt itself.

If you want to keep your setup stock as much as possible, then I would up it to 10psi max. That I what I did and have no regrets (except for going the with a SL blower). I run a SOS Stage 2 kit at 10psi mostly daily and is my canyon carver (~12K miles on it a year). Everything is stock besides test pipe and Act HD PP. I also use the stock map sensor. A while back I wanted to go with a higher PSI pulley or sell my SOS kit and go turbo. Thank goodness some sense got into me and decided to keep it as is.
Otherwise, keep reading the FI forum to feed your addiction, LOL.
