Why NOT Boost?
I also can't think of a good reason why not to...besides money.
I have a stage 1 SOS kit with a little over 300whp. It's a nice gain...though you may want more than that. Still, the car is quick enough...low 13s maybe a high 12 if you do everything right.
A 6psi kit is pretty much OEM reliable...once you set it up right. I've been going 2 years on mine. I have zero regrets on sinking the $$ into it as the end result is a very unique car with a power-to-weight ratio that is pretty great.
A SC'd S2K really does feel like a faster stock car. There's really no funky issues with it. The SOS kit passes emissions, too.
I think this is the way they should have come from the factory.
There's also turbo kits. This will totally change the car making it quick at every RPM point...but know what you're getting into. It won't feel stock...it's a turbo car. Which is fine if that's what you want (I have a mazdaspeed3 too) but I do prefer the SC S2K powerband.
