Default will I pass smog?

I've also been searching the threads for some time now and cant seem to find the right answer. I know the ctsc will pass smog, but wasnt sure if it would with a FMIC. My kit came with a intercooler so i dont have to freedom to swap things out. I've been looking into just disconnecting the belt and smogging but haven't found much info on that. My only concern was, if i disconnect the belt, i would have to remove and block out my BOV hole??

Sounds like its a placebo affect going on. Boost is built by rpms since it is pulley driven. Putting a cat in wont change the pulley size so won't spool any faster. Cat will lose some power compared to a test pipe.

any ideas on passing smog? should i take off my BOV + disconnect belt, or would it pass with it on?

You need to have all the components the kit came with to pass smog. BOV, intercooler all wont pass. You need that recirc valve and an aftercooler, as well as stock fuel management parts that came with the new kit to pass smog. Unless you find a shady place thatll pass you without visual, it looks like you will be screwed.

You should pass smog (sniffer test at least); having a FMIC will not make you fail. The CTSC has a CARB EO #, I don't think the smog tech will flag the FMIC during his visual.

I'm sure this is true for visual, but how about for the smog itself? my area arent so anal about visual, so im ok with that.

Ah, awesome. thanks a lot. Does having a BOV effect the sniff test at all?

would it be smart to disconnect the belt, remove bov and block off the hose?

BOV won't impact your emissions. If you want to be ultra conservative, just remove the belt. Keep the BOV there; you can plug remove the hose and plug the vacuum line to keep the BOV shut.
