Will this pose a problem?

Default Will this pose a problem?

Im looking at using the Greddy Bolt on kit for my 07. Will having the Seibon MG style carbon fiber hood effect this (as far as water damage with their being vents in the hood). Im afraid with the filter being out in the open water might get sucked up. Any help or info would be amazing before i waste money on a turbo and a hood versus just a turbo.

I had that exact same hood on an 07 civic last year and EVERYTHING under the hood got very dirty, especially after driving in the rain. Just my experiance with a vented hood.

the filter will not suck water into the motor unless its submerged under water. so as long as you dont try to drive your car thru a lake ur fine

gahhhhhh...that depletes my purpose of buying an S in the first place...i wanted the first S to run on land and water...i was asking about the hood because i figured it would be easier to float CF than aluminum/metal.

But seriously, thanks for all the info from everyone, i think ima still get the hood, only now i hear horror stories from locals about

1)fading
2)color changing
3)bubbles

....guess i might invest in a car cover to protect it from the sun....military isnt kind enough to provide me with a garage!
