S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

Will this pose a problem?

keep it waxed and it should last a little longer or you can just clear coat over it when you get it so it doesn't do that....

Just a note. I have the mugen vented hood. It has rainguards so no water goes in the engine bay in case of rain. It was one of the basic reasons i bought this hood

heres the underside of an authentic mugen hood

this is what i run on my car joe and you have the kit now...a properly made vented hood is an asset on a turbo car for under hood temps

I have THE hood you are talking about and my fliter sits right under the most forward vent. It has been rained on and while initially i was concerned about it it hasn't manifest any issues, the underhood heat dries it out pretty quickly

I have did the three holes on my OEM hood and the filter that was on it got rusted from driving in the rain. Never was really concerned about getting water into the engine, but I will say it makes for one nasty looking engine bay.

Thankfully, this car is no longer a daily, which some people may want to think about as I know many don't drive there car unless it's nice out.

Dude your worrying about nothing. I have a J's Racing V2 hood and the vents are bigger than the Mugen. I never get water in the hood while driving, if i leave my car outside over night while its raining yes some water will get inside but only a little; only time the water gets inside the hood is if I wash the car. Just clean your engine every time you wash you car and you'll be good. Its not like your engine is cool while your driving. If water does get inside it will evaporate before it can do any harm. I drove 2 hours in traffic in the rain opened my hood when I got home it was spot dry

....guess i might invest in a car cover to protect it from the sun....military isnt kind enough to provide me with a garage!
If your going turbo all those symptoms will happen even faster because of engine bay temps, If you don't wax more. It will still fade over time i say paint your hood or cut your oem I had my hood 1.5 years never waxing; I went turbo, and i had to waxing about every 3 weeks

I did the oem vented hood mod... i'm also turbo'd. the filter literally sits right underneith the last hole of the hood... didn't plan that, that's how the filter sits..

I've been in DOWNpours... so much so that the ive ran into a foot of water, that ripped the front lip AND cf splitter right off my bumper and a huuuuuge wave came over the top.. I said OOOO shyt... thinking my motor was about to dydro lock... nope.. not a problem..

and yes.. it can get dirty so just spray down some purple power or that green cleaning stuff.. just becareful not to spray on electronics..
