How much boost do you plan to run?

Don't use the 7173 - it's a #7, but it's also a non-resistor type plug.

Use the NGK BKR7E (copper v-groove) or NGK BKR7Exi (iridium).

This car did not come with a non-resistor type plug from the factory and my tuner says not to even think about using non-resistor type plugs in this car.

They are exactly the same price for the copper version.

like 14 psi, whatever i can safely on stock internals, i want daily driven 400hp, or 2 boost settings like 9 or 10 for cruising and 14 or higher for ripping

The 7's should work good then -- get some NGK BKR7E's coppers for tuning and then switch over ot BKR7Exi's after your tuned up.

I've been using NGK #9's that are 2 steps colder then stock for a while, and I would recommend them. Just remember that you will need to change your plugs every 3-6k miles with copper.

^^ The NGK Coppers that XclusiveAutosports is talking about are the NGK 7405's - they are the ones that I am going to be running soon! That is exactly what I was going to recommend.

Don't forget about an upgraded map sensor too!

Skip, as I was researching through NGK and other site, I found that 7173 is 1 step colder than our stock. according to their web site, you should increase as per 75 to 100 hp increase. If I remember correctly, I heard that you were putting down 390 hp at the wheel. If so, I believe using 2 step colder spark plug would've been better.

NGK for OEM 2000
part# PFR7G-11S, Stock# 7772. Platinum tip, 14mm, 3/4" reach, 5/8" Hex. heat Rating: 7, Gap 1.1mm (.044")

NGK for 1step colder
part# R5672A-8, Stock# 7173. 14mm, 3/4" reach, 5/8" hex, heat Rating: 8

NGK for 2step colder
part# R5672A-9, Stock# 7405. 14mm, 3/4" reach, 5/8" hex, heat Rating: 9
