Ok I have been lurking on here for a while, trying to make my car faster and it seems the only way to really make the S move is Forced Induction. I am looking to dump $5,299.00 bones for a Polished Vortech Supercharger for my 04, (Superchargers online.com). I have some buddies that are more then thrilled to help me install it, but without anything else (Headers, Exhaust........blah blah) I will basically be spending $5,300.00 CASH I will do the headers, and exhaust soon after, but to any of you F/I people, is it, or was it worth the money????? I love the S and Ill keep it until I am too old and crippled to get in and out of it, but I dunno seems like a lot of money, however if a Vortech Supercharger, Headers, Test Pipe, and a Dual Exhaust and some tuning will make it as fast as some $70,000.00 cars, then maybe it is worth it, anybody who has made the leap, do you wish you had the money instead, or hell maybe I am just looking at the wrong place to buy a Vortech Supercharger...........

yeah if I had $80,000.00, I would, ya see thats just it, I spend 5k for a S/C and a 2k for some other mods, I would have to imagine the S would really move................

ok, for roughly 100hp or so that it actually makes? ya it's f'ing worth it! the only other way you could get that much out of a mod is nitrous and that's just asking for engine detonation! plus if you Love your S2k Like i love mine i'd never put spray in my car. do your car and yourself a favor and go with the S/C. you'll be glad you did! trust me. I Know. I Have Just Put $9,774.00 into my '04 engine and exhaust and absolutly love it even more.

 

you love ur s2k right..i say its worth it..howevr i dont have an F/i on both mys2k but i drove few with one...i say its worth it...if u r willing to spend that much money..go 4 it..u will be able to take on many fast cars out there...

and later on dont just settle for the SC, add more work into it, upgrade the drivetrain as well coz drivetrain is always overlooked by many but in reality the drivetrain gets the power to the ground...

my buddy aka s2000wnks has a vortech SC ap1 with 400+hp(high boost, etc.). he was hitting low 12's on slicks.he didnt change the drivetrain until he broke it, so now he has no choice but to fix it and he ended up gettiing a reinforced diff with 4.44fg and 2 way lsd, stage 4 or maybe 5 (i think) clutch from Competition clucth and some lighter flywheel, etc...he was able to go mid to low 11's on slicks...and his car has a weight reduction of about 300lbs...damn it was fast...we drove it in CA speedway a short while back for some of the test and tune days...OMG, he is takin on cobra's, camaro's, gto's...i wish i can make a drag s2k someday that can be driven on the streets as well like my buddy's.

so yea, i say get the FI....its worth it..if you have the money to spare..

WOW Makes me want to invest in FI. I wonder what other mods that s2000 has done to it. btw Go for it JOEYBALLS! If you plan on keeping your car for the long run why not invest in it. You only live once. Good luck with your decision.

 

I can almost guarantee that everyone will fail estimating whether they will keep the car for long run or not. Most people might want to think that way thus making them feel better about modding but trust me, with all the new attractive cars coming out, soon you'll want to change your car. I'm pretty sure S2000 will be dated soon.
