Thumbs down Is it worth the $5,300.00

I posted this in the other forum, but I might get a better response here!

Ok I have been lurking on here for a while, trying to make my car faster and it seems the only way to really make the S move is Forced Induction. I am looking to dump $5,299.00 bones for a Polished Vortech Supercharger for my 04, (Superchargers online.com). I have some buddies that are more then thrilled to help me install it, but without anything else (Headers, Exhaust........blah blah) I will basically be spending $5,300.00 CASH cry.gif I will do the headers, and exhaust soon after, but to any of you F/I people, is it, or was it worth the money????? I love the S and Ill keep it until I am too old and crippled to get in and out of it, but I dunno seems like a lot of money, however if a Vortech Supercharger, Headers, Test Pipe, and a Dual Exhaust and some tuning will make it as fast as some $70,000.00 cars, then maybe it is worth it, anybody who has made the leap, do you wish you had the money instead, or hell maybe I am just looking at the wrong place to buy a Vortech Supercharger...........
Thanks Fellas

thats where i bought mine almost three years ago..the list price on the site said 4999.98 or something like that (it was basically 5K) I called the guy up and talked him down to $4600 out the door(I'm sure i could've gone lower, but i was sick that week and didn't want to haggle with the guy over the phone) but I did have to go pick it up.

If i didn't spend the money on a S/C, I'm sure i would've just got some hookers and blow. thats how we do it in the city of Sin!!...lol

it's very different. it feels like another car completely.

I suggest going out to a meet in your area and getting a ride from someone who has a S/C before you decide.

also, if you do decide to get it, make sure you get the AP2 kit..theres a difference with the AP1 kits.

Yeah, I love the S, I just want it to be faster, EVERYTHING from SUVs to 4 door sedans seems to be a little bit of a challenge with the S. I am getting tired of yuppies in their 330's ya know........

I dunno, I hear S/C might be a tad bit easier on the S motor...........What do you think?????????I want to keep the internals stock for now, and I dont want to blow my motor, also which would be easier to install? I saw a Greddy Turbo kit for about $1,000 less then the supercharger, I might consider it over the S/C, just seems like the Turbo is more work ya know.........
